Piazzetta San Giacomo °

At the side of Corso Canal Chiaro

The square is a pleasant and peaceful corner of the old town, near corso Canal Chiaro°°. The name derives from the church which once stood here, whose brick built apse still survives, occupied by a busy area of commercial activity. The so-called casa Canevazzi on the other side has curious lancet windows, and in the centre of the square stands the ‘Ninfa’ by the Modenese sculptor Giuseppe Graziosi (1879-1942).
